A fellow photographer told me the other day how much my IG feed has changed— how it reflects me now. They said they could see my vision so clearly in my final work, especially compared to 5 or 6 years ago. This means so much to me, and I'm truly proud of where my work has taken me this year!
2024: The Year of Love and Evolution
When I first started my photography business, I jumped in with both feet, flipped the Open Sign, and went all in—taking care of my clients with the same energy I do now. I’ve always provided a full-service experience and stayed true to my love of vibrant, true-to-color photography (even when everyone was chasing trendy edits or cringy filters). I refused to change styles with the wind because I knew what I wanted to give my clients.
But there was one thing I wanted more of, something I’ve always been passionate about capturing: love. Not just romanticized storytelling or labeled boudoir sessions—but the real, raw, in-between moments that show connection, playfulness, and intimacy between two people.
But there was one thing I wanted more of, something I’ve always been passionate about capturing: love. Not just romanticized storytelling or labeled boudoir sessions—but the real, raw, in-between moments that show connection, playfulness, and intimacy between two people.
This type of session doesn’t have a neat label (and honestly, I don’t think it needs one). It’s about laughter, adventure, and that spark between two people who truly get each other. There’s a magic in those moments when couples let their guards down—when they play, connect, and just be.
What made the difference for me? Finally finding a few couples willing to let me capture their love unapologetically. We pushed past the invisible boundaries of “posed” photography and leaned into the real stuff. The kind of moments that make you feel something.
This applies to family sessions, too! Here’s what I need you to know: it’s easy to show up. Even when your kids are overjoyed to be there (wink, wink) and acting like the tiny tornadoes they are. I’ve got us covered. We’ll pick a location where they can run wild like happy little heathens, without bothering anyone or risking a close call with a 747.
And for you and your partner? This is your moment to not parent. To connect. To breathe. To just be. Don’t worry about looking good or knowing where to put your hands (hint: I’ll tell you). Don’t stress about “how to look sexy.” That’s not the vibe. It’s about your connection, your energy, your story.
Because you remember what it feels like to be this connected to your partner. To feel this good about yourself. This right here? This is my job. Capturing you when you feel amazing, when you get that little rush, fall just a bit more in love with your person all over again, and gush over how beautiful your kids are—chaos and all.
Don't worry about imperfections. A tiny, millimeter adjustment can fix that one thing you’ve hated forever, and in those moments, I can capture more images than you’d believe. So bring your chaos, your love, your imperfect magic—I’m here for it all.
What Does This Mean for 2025?
Let’s talk about redefining the whole idea of “labels” for sessions. I get it—we need some structure for ease of use, navigation, and yes, a sense of cost. But here’s where I’m headed: I don’t want to just be another checkbox for “Package 1A” or “Standard Family Session.”
I want to be known for the experience. The adventure. The connection. When you book with me, it’s not about a stiff, posed session where everyone’s just trying to get through it. It’s about spending time together, creating a vision, having fun, and walking away feeling closer to your partner, your family—even yourself.
This isn’t about tolerating a photoshoot; it’s about enjoying the process and leaving with something truly meaningful. I want to work with people—humans and their canine companions—who share this vision. People who are ready to push the limits, step out of the mundane, and embrace a little adventure.
In 2025, I’m breaking out of the ordinary. Let’s create something raw, beautiful, and uniquely you. Are you ready to rewrite what a photoshoot can be?
So here’s to the journey, the growth, and the clients who trust me to document not just their stories but their hearts. Thank you for helping me grow into the photographer I’ve always wanted to be!
