Top 10 Most Stunning Photos Captured This Year

Every year, I say the same thing: there’s no way next year could top this one. And somehow… it always does.
This year was filled with real connection, deep belly laughs, tiny hands wrapped around grown-up fingers, and moments that remind me why I do this work in the first place. These aren’t just photos — they’re pauses in time. The in-between moments. The ones that feel like you when you look back on them years from now.
I’ve rounded up my Top 10 Photos of the Year, along with a little reflection on what this season of Ford Photography looked like.

1. Motherhood, Unfiltered
There’s something sacred about the way moms hold their kids — protective, tender, and fierce all at once. This image captures that quiet strength (in such a beautiful motherhood moment) that often goes unnoticed but deserves to be celebrated.
2. A Love That Feels Like Home
A soft, still moment between mama and babe right before everything changed and the older siblings joined in with their newborn sister.
3. The Most Epic Senior Session
Shooting this beautiful gal for her senior session at the local airport was such a fun experience. From getting into and on top of planes, to capturing her with her new school spirit it was the perfect storytelling session.
4. The In-Between Frame
Subtly posed. Not planned. Just a moment that happened naturally — and ended up becoming one of my favorites of the year. These are often the images clients fall in love with most and this headshot was no exception.
5. Belly Laughs & Barefoot Energy
This one makes me smile every time. Pure joy, no direction needed. Just movement, laughter, and the freedom to be exactly who you are in that moment. This family beach session was so beautiful.
6. Queen of Her Era
From the same session, this mama brought all her radiant energy! This photo is proof that thoughtful styling elevates an image without overpowering it. Texture, movement, and color working together to support the story — not steal her spotlight.
7. Little Fingers. Playful Toys.
The way kids look at the world like everything is brand new. These details are fleeting — and that’s exactly why they matter. This image feels like a memory you didn’t even realize you had until you saw it again.
8. Blooming in the Garden
Capturing this mama in one of my favorite places where the garden and her are blooming with possibility.
9. Cozy In-Home Newborn Session
A sweet in-home newborn session capturing the pure joy of bringing this little bundle home.
10. An Edgy-Romantic Engagement Shoot
Couples sessions always remind me that romance doesn’t have to be grand to be powerful. Sometimes it’s a forehead touch, a laugh mid-sentence, or the comfort of standing close. I had the honor of shooting this engagement for this sweet couple and the images turned out so powerful and moving.
A Look Back at the Year
This year brought:
Families growing and returning year after year
Babies becoming toddlers
Couples turning into parents
Clients who trusted me to document their most meaningful seasons
It also brought growth — creatively and personally. I leaned further into what matters most to me: experience-driven sessions, intentional styling, and images that feel lived-in, not staged.
Looking Ahead
As I step into the new year, my focus remains the same:
Creating space for connection
Designing sessions that feel relaxed and elevated
Helping families walk away with images that feel like them
If you were part of my year — thank you. Truly. And if you’re new here, I can’t wait to create something meaningful with you.
Here’s to another year of stories worth remembering.
