Hey there, Class of 2025! Your Senior Sessions are all about having some FUN.

Senior year is a whirlwind of emotions—excitement, anticipation, and also looking back at all you've accomplished and all those memories made. Capturing this pivotal moment is more than just snapping a few photos; it's about celebrating you—your journey, your style, and your story.

Maybe you already got your pictures back from whichever company your high school uses and let’s just say you were a bit underwhelmed. Their job is to capture that headshot…My passion is to capture YOU, who you are right now, and have these images tell a story.

This isn’t 90 minutes of snapping pictures - this is however long we need to have your personality shine through.

How do we do that? By including several outfits that show all your sides. Including your hobbies such as bringing a helmet, or ball or stick from your sport. Including your car, doing an activity you love and of course including your bestie or partner.

At Ford Photography, I believe in creating a fun, relaxed environment where you can truly be yourself. From our initial chat to the final gallery, my goal is to make this experience effortless and enjoyable. I’m available via text to offer as little or as much assistance as you like.

I get asked all the time about what to wear and how to prep for these sessions so here are some tips!

1. Embrace Your Personal Style

Your senior photos should reflect who you are. Whether you're into classic looks, boho vibes, or sporty chic, let's showcase your personality. Think about outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable. And remember, layers and textures add depth and interest to your photos.

2. Plan for Multiple Outfits

I encourage at least three wardrobe changes during your session. This allows us to capture different facets of your personality. Consider:

  • Casual Everyday: Your go-to outfit that feels authentically you.

  • Dressy/Formal: Something a bit more polished—think dresses, blazers, or tailored pieces.

  • Hobby/School-Inspired: Incorporate elements that highlight your interests—sports jerseys, musical instruments, or even your beloved pet as well as collegiate apparel/flags to highlight where you're headed!

3. Utilize the Client Closet

Don't stress about finding the perfect outfit. I offer a curated client closet with dreamy dresses and outfits suitable for various styles and body types. It's all about making you feel gorgeous and at ease.

4. Choose Meaningful Locations

From flower fields to urban rooftops, the Bay Area offers diverse backdrops. Let's pick locations that resonate with you—places where you feel connected and inspired. Don’t worry… I have sooo many locations that I work at on a regular basis that I choose depending on my client and what they want. I also have select locations that are more private and secluded so that you feel comfortable.

Whether it's your favorite park, a bustling city street, or even your backyard, the setting should complement your story.

5. Incorporate Props and Personal Touches

Bring along items that tell your story. Vintage cars, picnic setups, musical instruments, or sports gear can add a unique flair to your photos. These elements make your session truly personalized.

6. Include Loved Ones

Want to share this moment with someone special? Feel free to bring along your best friend, sibling, or even your furry companion. We'll capture those cherished connections alongside your solo shots.

7. Trust the Process

I understand that being in front of the camera can feel daunting. But rest assured, I'll guide you through every step, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident. We'll laugh, play some music, and maybe even dance a little—it's all part of the fun!
